Wonderful array of species after a cold & foggy start!
Spotted Flycatcher (1 @ Carlton), Hobby (1), Buzzard (7), Sparrowhawk (1), Wigeon (2), Green Sandpiper (1), Snipe (5), Water Rail (1), Cettis Warbler (4), Sedge Warbler (1), Reed Warbler (2), Blackcap (4), Chiffchaff (4), Willow Warbler (2), Linnet (2), Coal Tit (4), Treecreeper (1), Nuthatch (1), Goldcrest (2), Rook (1 - common enough but rare to Brandon!), Good numbers of Swallow & House Martin
Butterfly - Various numbers of Brimstone, Common Blue, Gatekeeper, Meadow Brown, Brown Argus, Small Heath, Small Copper, Ringlet, Large White, Small White, Green-vein White and Speckled Wood. |

This morning, two brief sightings of Hobby and a Ruff also stopped off for a while. One Green Sandpiper on Carlton Pool. Moorhen with 3 very young 'chicks'on E.M. Pool.
