Description:
Males (above) are marked bright green, becoming blue towards the tip of the abdomen, on a dark background. Females have a stouter abdomen and are patterned in yellow and green. Abdominal segments 9 and 10 have a dorsal stripe rather than spots. Both sexes have two thick green or yellow antehumeral stripes. The wings are colourless when mature but acquire an amber tint with old age.
