Description:
As the name suggests, males (above) can be
readily identified by the blood-red eyes but also by the blue pruinose tip
to the abdomen, which are conspicuous even at a distance through
binoculars. In females, the brown-red eyes are less distinctive and the
blue tail is lacking.

Goose or Swallow Pool.
