Common Darter - Sympetrum Striolatum

Description:
Mature males have an orange-red abdomen. Immatures and females have a yellowish to light brown abdomen. Old females may become reddish. Look also for the black lines across the top of the frons which is not continued down either side of the eye, and the outer sides of the legs which are striped with yellow.
