Banded Demoiselle - Calopteryx splendens

Abdomen:

Description:
Males (above) have a metallic blue-green body with a dark blue-black wing pigment and iridescent wing-viens.
Females are metallic green with a distinctive white pseudo-pterostigma about three quarters of the way along the leading edge of the wing.
 
Areas:
Best seen in areas near to the River Avon: path to Carlton hide and path to River Pool/West Marsh.
